using spatula. Add butter and sauté without measuring cup 5 min/120°C/speed 1.
Add beef mince, salt, black pepper and Madeira wine, stir meat using spatula to
break it up if necessary and cook 5 min/120°C//speed . Spread cooked beef
mince mixture in base of prepared baking dish and set aside. Mashed potatoes
Insert butterfly whisk. Place potatoes, milk, salt and black pepper in mixing
bowl and cook without measuring cup 30-35 min/95°C//speed 1. Meanwhile, preheat
oven to 220°C. Add butter to mixing bowl, insert measuring cup and mash 30
sec/speed 3. Remove butterfly whisk. Spread mashed potatoes over cooked beef
mince mixture in baking dish. Smooth surface using a fork. Sprinkle with
breadcrumbs and dot with butter. Bake for 15 minutes (220°C) or until golden
brown. Serve hot. Tips Serve with a green salad, steamed green peas or steamed
carrots. Check that potatoes are very tender before mashing. If they still seem
firm, cook for the additional 5 minutes. After step 3, add 200 g carrots (cut in
pieces) to mixing bowl, chop 10 sec/speed 4, then sauté 5 min/120°C/speed 1.
Proceed with recipe in step 4. Instead of raw minced meat, use leftover cooked
beef, minced for a few seconds on speed 5.
